This proposal was selected by the University of Virginia landscape architecture faculty for the 2011 Benjamin C. Howland Traveling Fellowship.
I am thrilled by this opportunity! I will spend three months in Iceland, examining the influence of the island’s geothermal infrastructure on the formation of its cities and public spaces at multiple scales.
As part of this research I hope this blog becomes a digital forum for those interested in: this research, Iceland, the Howland Traveling fellowship, or just staying in touch. Please participate, let me know what you think is interesting, could be taken further, is boring, missed the point, etc.
Thank you to all of those who join in this process!
